2008 is coming to an end, it's been one heck of a crazy year. It started out lousy, it was lousy in the middle, and now maybe there will be a sweet ending to 2008 :-)

And I wanna be there when you hit the ground
So don't go away say what you say
But say that you'll stay
Forever and a day... in the time of my life
Cos I need more time yes I need more time
Just to make things right
Damn my situation and the games I have to play
With all the things caught in my mind
Damn my education I can't find the words to say
About all the things caught in my mind
Me and you what's going on?
All we seem to know is how to show
The feelings that are wrong

Sunday, December 21, 2008

I'm so happy whenever you're with me, baby.

Life should stay just like this for a bit :)

Friday, December 19, 2008

One love one shot it's all we ever got
You got me started now i'm not gonna stop
Now slide along side yeah baby that's right
I'm gonna show you the time of your life

Dear Diary,

I know I write only when I am feeling perturbed or upset about something.

This blog reminds me of all the times when I felt sad or hurt or just plain helpless. This blog reminds me of all the times I felt horrible, so much so that I would just turn on the computer and type out whatever came to my mind. Some people call it ranting; I call it a mere form of release. And then I’ll feel better.

Years later when all this has passed, I am sure I will look back and read these entries and realise how stupid and ignorant I really was.

We are peculiar creatures. Too often we realise that we are like chameleons. We learn to adapt, to change accordingly to the environments we are exposed to. We can’t help it. We’re human after all. But how much do we have to change without changing ourselves entirely and permanently in the process? Because I don’t want to change. I just want to be me. And if that’s not good enough for you, too bad. I’m not going to change for you. Or for anyone else for that matter.

There's gotta be more to life, than chasing down every temporary high.

Temporary high - I guess that's why some people turn to alcohol. But I don't. I’m not too sure how I get my happy high. Don't get me wrong. I am happy. But I just can't help feeling like there's something missing in my life.

This blog has been wonderful. I can write whatever I want without this nagging conscience at the back of my head – warning me to be careful with what I type. But then again, I don’t give a shit about what people think of me anymore.  And I’m tired of always seeming like the “bad person”. Everyone is human for goodness sakes. We all make mistakes. And if you fucking can’t learn to forgive and forget, I honestly don’t give a shit anymore. Really.

I used to tell myself - "I just want him back."

Now I tell myself - "It's okay, it's his loss." And it is.

Maybe if I stopped being so judgmental and if I learnt not to be so picky, I’ll learn to love someone again.

And I’m looking forward to that. :)

I promise I'll write again soon.

Till then.

Love, Sophia.

I can't wait to get out of Singapore and escape where I can fking stop thinking about shitass things that I'm not supposed to think about. Cus other than hanging out with my friends this past week, I haven't been doing anything else and I just can't help feeling like there's something missing in my life.

Will I be there when you call me in the middle of the night?
Will I keep the rain from falling down into your life?

Will I always be there for you?
When you need someone, Will I be that one you need?
Will I do all my best to, to protect you?
When the tears get near your eyes
Will I be the one that's by your side?
Will I be there when you call me in the middle of the night?
Will I keep the rain from falling down into your life?

Will I take tender care of you?
Take your darkest night and make it bright for you
Will I be there to make you strong and to lean on?
When this world has turned so cold
Will I be the one that's there to hold?

I promise, I promise
I promise I will.

It's funny how one day I can feel confident and attractive and at other times I feel like a complete monster.

Snap back to reality.

You know you've been taking certain things in life forgranted when your mom makes you sit down and she tells you stuff that you really don't wanna hear - and that makes you feel like a selfish bitch. It was hard holding back the tears :-( I'm glad that I made the decision not to stay in a hall. I wanna stay home and spend time with the people who do matter.

Freaking four more days to the end of exams.
I'm looking forward to the future, and December is looking pretty darn good.

Sometimes I don't understand how some people can be so vindictive. What's the use of hating and hating and hating when at the end of the day, you're still back where you started? Why exactly am I feeling so guilty? And why do I keep thinking and thinking about trivial things? I'm done.

Waiting for a star to fall -*

Saturday, November 22, 2008

What's the point of studying so damn hard for an exam when nothing you studied for actually came out in the end? And I have never felt so confused or distracted before. I'm bloody not okay. One day I think I'm okay, the next day I think I'm not. This is so screwed up. What the shit.

Thursday, November 20, 2008

Hmm okay I've run out of things to say about this particular matter. Honestly I was actually okay a long time ago and I did come to terms with it awhile ago, so I think you've misunderstood alot of things regarding me and my intentions. But it's okay because you've made it crystal - sparkly clear that you want me out of your life, for good, so I guess it's time to make a few changes? It's obvious that my efforts of attempting to salvage whatever's left of our very strained "friendship" was in vain, clearly you don't give two shits about this and you so very obviously don't share the same sentiments as I do. It's evident that whatever I say now will fall on deaf ears so.. I shall make this brief -

1) I realised alot of things yesterday. And today. I've understood the reasons why you sometimes acted the way you did before and come to think of it, I should have realised them long ago.
2) I think you should learn to let it go too.
3) Walk away, and don't look back.

After everything that's happened, now you wanna pretend that I don't exist. That's fine by me! Maybe I never really knew you because if someone told me that you'd turn out like THIS, I wouldn't have believed that person at all. And maybe in your eyes I was nothing that special anyway. Actually the word isn't "maybe". In your eyes, I wasn't that special. But you know what, I know I am (Hur hur I'm not being egoistical) So please don't worry, I will disappear from your life. And I will certainly do it well.

PS. One more week till the end of exams! Can't wait :-)

Wednesday, November 19, 2008

You know you feel like shit when
1) It's 3 days to the exams and you're not even half way done
2) You sleep at 4 am and feel like a fking zombie the next day
3) You're gaining weight like crazy
4) You look like a fat pig in all your clothes
5) Some girls are just plain.. d-------- okay no comments
6) When sometimes just merely "liking someone', isn't enough

Sunday, November 16, 2008

Embrace the world as it evolves. We are then able to create new traditions ; cultures. Why be stuck with the ideologies of the 1960s when we are already living in the 21st century?

Practise tolerance and restraint, people. Why be so narrow minded and judgemental when honestly, you have no right to do so? What's the point of being so blindly fixated with your own sets of beliefs that you choose to ignore or worse, to frown and look upon others' beliefs with disdain? I am sick of narrow minded naivete because I have a right to live as I please and we only live once afterall so why not embrace life in all its fullest glory? If you ask me, I do not want to grow old burdened with regret and "what - ifs". Youth isn't forever so let's cherish one of the greatest gifts that life can bring - Our Precious Youth.

Okay, I don't know what's with my random musings at this time - 2:20 am.
I really should be studying and I'm fully aware that my body clock is topsy-turvy now. Sigh. I guess it's back to Statistics now.

Saturday, November 15, 2008

Number of days to the first exam paper : 7
Number of chapters completed (ie the no of chapters I have finished studying for) : 10
Number of chapters to go : 64

Omg I'm so unprepared for the exams.. it's not even funny!

Questions taken from Audrey's journal :-)

1. The age you’ll be on your next birthday:

2. A place you’d like to travel to: (can I name two places instead?)3. Your favourite place: 4. Your favourite food:5. Your favourite pet: 6. Your favourite colour combination: 7. Your favourite piece of clothing:

8. Your favourite TV show:

9. First name of your significant other: Ventimiglia <3>

11. Your first job:12. Your dream job: (Hellooo, New York!)

13. A bad habit that you have:

14. Your worst fear:15. What you would like to do before you die:

So much has happened this past few weeks. Time flies - semester one is already coming to an end. It seemed just like yesterday that we freshmen stepped into the halls, fresh faced and eager to make a change, make a difference in whichever way possible. And opportunities only come knocking on your door once. I got an offer to stay at Sheares Hall last week, but I rejected the offer. Why?

1) I stay very near school (a mere 20 min bus drive as a matter of fact)
2) I have to move in on Monday which is really, a very awkward timing.
3) I have no friends in Sheares Hall.

It really got me thinking though. Am I too used to the familiarity of family, home and being around my friends? Maybe I'm not ready to leave my comfort zone just yet. "Home is where the heart is". After all, we're in Singapore and if I really want to experience "independent living", I should just go overseas right? Which brings me to my next point - I'm going to Japan in December! I absolutely cannot wait :-) Harajuku girls, bento sets, great shopping, awesome weather, white snow, freshly sliced sashimi = Heaven.

Another reason why I'm looking forward to December - Christmas! Even though I don't celebrate Christmas, it's still very much a pleasure and joy walking around the streets of Orchard Road at night and just immersing yourself in the Christmas festivities, looking up at the Christmas bright lights and reminding yourself again that this is such, the wonder of life. That we are able to be so fortunate as to open our eyes every morning and be thankful for the everyday pleasures that we are able to enjoy and experience.

So, I cannot wait for the darn exams to end. Two more weeks and the dreaded exams are over. Then it'll be party, shop, fun fun fun all the way.

And it really doesn't matter how many friends you have because all that matters are the people who count. Really, you could have 2000 friends but those 2000 friends could be just fair-weather friends. So too bad honey, you're back at square one.

The birthday surprise was.. surprising and I was caught completely unaware.
Best birthday ever! I have such awesome friends, I know :)
I feel like such a lucky girl. I'm 19 now, time to grow up!

Monday, November 03, 2008

Soo many things to do, so little time. I have almost 30 people on the guest list for this Sunday and no venue to hold the party at?! Okay i'm dead, maybe I should just postpone the dinner.

Goodness Gracious. My organisational (is there even such a word?) skills - suck.

Saturday, November 01, 2008

Every girl has probably cried their eyes out for some particular guy out there. If you've never done so, well good for you. But anyway this is a shoutout to all my girls out there-
Don't make someone a priority when you're only their option.

Anyway happy halloween!
"Damn, we should have dressed up." One more year till the next Halloween :(

Monday, October 27, 2008

I was reading my old diary entries just now and omg, I realised, seven months is a long time. Too long. What was I thinking?
Sophia - is fking pissed. And I am so erasing you out of my life, for good.

Sunday, October 26, 2008

The title of my blog reads - "P.S. I love you"
It sounds simple but it can mean so many things.

I love you.. but only as a friend?
I love you in more ways than one?
I love you.. just like a sister loves her brother
I love you, you're my soulmate.
Or simply - I love you and I can't imagine my life without you.
I love you and I want you to be mine.

One thing I don't understand about myself - I find it so hard to let go. I found the courage to utter those words and actually mean it some time ago but hey, it took me a whole freaking year to do so. A whole freaking year! I should add "To not be so emotionally attached to someone, anyone" to my list of New Year Resolutions. But who actually follows new year resolutions anyway? I know I never did.

This is all my fault, why can't I just be sure about something for just once in my life? I hate it that I'm so fickle. There, I said it. I'm fickle and I suck at making decisions. (Case in point- I can spend a whole day deciding whether I should get a particular dress and at the end of the day, I find myself buying a skirt instead) Nothing is ever that simple and damnit, I wish I can just open up and tell you how I really feel about you. But I can't because I'm unsure myself. Maybe that day was a mistake and maybe it was just a spur-of-the-moment thing. Because right now, it sure does feel like it - it was just a spur of the moment thing. Too late, what's done is done and there's no use hoping and wishing that I can turn back time. Why do things have to be so complicated? But I don't want to turn back time. Because if I did, I wouldn't have known how it felt to be loved again, to feel safe again. This is a mess. I feel like a mess.

Thank god for the consistency I have in my life right now. No more rude surprises. I hate unpleasant surprises, they make me feel so vulnerable and powerless. Also, thank god for the wonderful friends and family I have. My parents, they aren't perfect I know. But they're trying. And no matter how often I rant and whine and complain about them, they're still my parents and I love them. And of course, those awesome people who have always been there for me 24/7. I might not show it but really, i'm thankful that I have such wonderful people in my life who have stood by my side through thick and thin.

Tomorrow's Monday - the start of a new week. Wow, I'm gonna be 19 in exactly two weeks time. And i'm gonna make sure I spend my birthday with people who actually care about me. God, I cringe whenever I think about that embarrassing message I sent to a particular someone just a few weeks ago. I definitely wont disclose what I wrote in that message but seriously, my cheeks still burn when I think about it. Sigh.. I don't wanna grow up though, I wanna be sweet 18 forever >:(

Food for thought, something I found on the internet which I found rather sweet :)
The past like some unquiet ghost still moves
Within, too fraught with longing to forget.
We have moved on, as is mature and wise.
But love, though long abandoned, never dies.

Have an awesome weekend!

Saturday, October 25, 2008

I am pretty sure that next week is gonna be the busiest week ever - one test one wednesday and one project due on Thursday. I should really be studying now but I can't seem to concentrate :(
I miss -

Contented ;
satisfied with one's situation or life

Okay, maybe I have been walking around nowadays with a perpetual grin on my face and that might seem a little odd but honestly, I dont care. I'm happier now than I've been in months.. And maybe this feeling wont last, maybe i'll regret this in months to come but you know what? I'm happy and contented now. And maybe that's all that matters for now :)

Thursday, October 23, 2008

I can't stop smiling :)

Sunday, October 19, 2008

The most productive thing I did today was.. running 4.5 km in the evening. Don't ask me how long I took to run that distance. Hey, slow-mo jogging is the way to go! I hope I can keep to this "healthy lifestyle" though. Because the rush of adrenaline + endorphins make me happy!

Have you ever wondered sometimes, how you can be in the middle of a crowded room, how you can be amongst so many people- yet, you can feel like the loneliest person in the world? And it hurts so much when I keep pretending to be indeed truly happy, to seem as if I dont have a care in the world, when really deep inside, I'm not. People perceive me as a cheerful girl. Someone who always has a smile on her face, someone devoid of sad/ angry/ negative emotions. But i'm really just as sensitive as anyone else, maybe even more so. But I choose not to show people my vulnerable side. FYI, I have feelings too. Hell yeah I do.

Friday, October 17, 2008

Maybe like, sometimes i really feel like I'm falling for you and maybe, just maybe, I wish you mean it when you tell me that you like me too.

BSB is the coolest shit yo

Tuesday, October 14, 2008

It’s been ages since I’ve blogged properly! I guess I’ve just been feeling too lazy to actually get down to doing a proper post on this blog and how ironic, I’m supposed to be studying for a test this coming Friday and I should seriously be studying and not thinking of penning down my thoughts and feelings at this awkward time. (ie 1:38 pm in the middle of a Wednesday afternoon)

This sounds totally random but I miss my friends. I really do miss the three awesome girls I feel completely at ease with, I love how I can always be myself around them. Jan, Wanxian and Kat - the loves of my life. (Who needs guys anyway?) Sigh they’re far away though and I’m stuck here in Singapore. Everyone is so caught up with university life and I used to feel the same way. Going to school used to be so fun and well, exciting but now I feel like school is such a bore. I know I shouldn’t feel this way since you know, being able to attend school at a university makes me lucky and I should feel blessed and fortunate but really, I hardly have the mood/ energy/ drive to want to go to school nowadays. Maybe I’m just a lazy ass or maybe I haven’t found any close friends in school yet. It’s kinda hard making new friends nowadays. Even the occasional small talk with people you bump into along the streets seems so.. forced.

Like for example-
Sophia: Oh hi it's such a surprise to see you!
xxx: Omg hi same here! How are you?
Sophia: I'm goooddd! What about you? What are you studying now?
xxx: Uhm ____. What about you?
Sophia: Real Estate!
xxx: (Wtf is that?) Ohhh really that's cool! So are you gonna be a property agent next time?
Sophia: Haha nooo. Hmm so.... (awkward pause) How's school?
xxx: School's okay! (loong awkward pause) Well, i'll see you around then!
Sophia: You too, bye!

Get my drift?

I have so many friends but those friendships which will last forever? Maybe only a handful.

Oh and another thing, I’m putting on weight like noboby’s business IT'S NOT EVEN FUNNY ANYMORE. God I miss my skinny sec three days when I weighed a mere 43 kg. Now I’m like ___ kg heavier than that and omg I have no idea how im gonna lose all this excess weight. It's gonna get even worse when the hols come along and i'll be having so much fun till i forget that eating dessert after every meal isn't exactly "normal".

Back to the subject of school, i really need to start studying again, for now. So now i shall push aside daydreams of Japan, New York (no thanks to you, Gossip Girl) and Hawaii, and settle down to read my notes. I'm sure what they said about university life being the best time of your life isn't completely fictitious. I just have to try harder, yes?

Saturday, October 11, 2008

Let's play dress up

Sunday, October 05, 2008

We all dont even make time for small talk no more.

LOVELOVELOVELOVELOVELOVELOVELOVELOVE

School is a bore.
Exams are a chore.

Haha perhaps my inability to type long blog posts is simply due to the fact that my life is so very very predictable nowadays. But then predictability may not be such a bad thing after all ;)

Our only chance to speak once more
I showed you the answers, now here's the door
I'm leaving you for the last time baby
You think you're loving but you don't love me

Tuesday, September 23, 2008

Let's say hello to high and dry.
I am looking forward to/dreading tomorrow.
I can't decide.

Saturday, September 20, 2008

I watched Mamma Mia last night and now i feel like i'm back in the 1980s era haha and abba songs have been on repeat on my computer since.. this morning. And my mom is happy because she says that's a pleasant change from all the "thrashy music" that she's been hearing from my music player the past few months.

Cus somewhere in the crowd, there's you :)
I just reached home from my Nat's OCS social night. It was.. alright. The food was good though. I love pastries especially those yummalicious mini tartlets. High tea at Carousel soon!

What's number one on my wishlist (for now),
Fingers crossed, a wonderful December :)

Saturday, September 13, 2008

Out the many broken back doors and windows,
Through the valley of the love of the lost,
Is a hole that is cut through the souls
falling down from the thrones without needing innuendos,
But you found inner peace for the moment,
The moment was over in time,
Then its gone the hit and run the tactless one has a short life
IFG today! It was pretty fun even though we got thrashed and my clothes got all muddy and all.
I'm currently addicted to With You- Chris Brown. It has been on repeat mode since I downloaded the song a few days ago. I know i'm pretty slow since the song came out on radio like eons ago hahaa but yeah it's such a sweet song! :)
Baby, you're the best part of my day
Soo.. life has been busy busy busy! University life is exciting (haha okay maybe not so) and personally, I find uni life much more enjoyable as compared to JC life. But I really need to start studying soon! I'm so behind everyone in terms of studies, it's kinda scaring me. Everyone is so competitive in university! I still havent figured out for sure what I wanna do next time :( Fingers crossed, I hope I didnt make the wrong choice by chossing Real Estate over Mass Communications at NTU.

Wednesday, September 10, 2008

You know everything happens for a reason. And maybe I thought you were always going to be part of my future, that you'd always be right by my side, guiding me through life's obstacles and challenges. But now you're far away and my dream, what I envisioned before seems so silly. I didnt understand us back then. I hated me, I hated you, I hated how we ended up like that. But guess what, now i'm glad. That we did get a chance at making things work. But things didn't work out in the end, and it's okay. And i'm glad, because I finally saw you on the flipside. And i'm thankful too because seeing you on the flipside made me stronger. And guess what, i'm moving on. And I hope you are moving on too :)

<3 Love always.

People come and go as they please.

And i'm darn sick of it

Sunday, August 31, 2008

I love blogging at times like these :)

With every passing moment,
Thoughts of you run through my head.

Sunday, August 24, 2008

I'm on to the next phase of my life. Today I asked a certain someone for a proper closure. And that will be the last time I will ever be asking that "certain someone" for anything ever again. This has dragged on for far too long and hurtful words have been said from both parties. Though it hurts, so much, I am sure things will be fine again because time heals all wounds and i'm stronger than you think I am.

Sunday, August 17, 2008

Wow I spent my whole weekend at home! Let's see.. I woke up early for breakfast with my family today. Shopped for groceries with my mom after that. Then I had a short nap in the afternoon haha I think im sleeping too much nowadays. I love lazy afternoons at home :) I just watched "The Wedding Planner". I never get tired of watching romantic comedies. Of course my all time favourite film is still "Pretty Woman", with "My Best Friend's Wedding" being a close second. Julia Roberts has such a gorgeous, infectious smile.

I want to be swept off my feet again.

Saturday, August 16, 2008

I often think that the best time to blog is at times like these, in the wee hours of the morning when it's quiet and most people are asleep. I had an eventful night I think, and my heart was in turmoil, but i'm okay now. I'm alright.

The first week of school was mundane, to say the least. I only had to go to school on Monday, Thursday and Friday for a few verrryyyyy boring and rather useless lectures. A few things kinda upset me today so I took a five hour long nap in the evening to ya know, "sleep it off". I feel so refreshed now! I havent really been sleeping well (esp after mambo night on wednesday) and I think I really needed that extra few hours of sleep!

Nothing else I wanna blog about haha I realised a while ago that there's a prevalent melancholic theme to this blogg.. I shall blog about happier, more interesting things next time! :-)

Tuesday, August 12, 2008

So school has finally started! No more lying in bed all day and doing basically nothing. I think it's great that school has started so lazy bums like me can finally have something productive to do instead of gallivanting everyday without an aim or purpose. So I guess.. life has been okay. Lectures are rather boring but the people in school are nice and friendly.

I met up with Wanxian yesterday and it got me thinking. It's rare to find such great friends like her. She and Jan have always been there for me, day and night. When I was feeling horrid, they never failed to try all ways and means to cheer me up. Jan would call me from Australia and talk to me for hours till I felt better! They're awesome and I would be so lost without them.

Everyday you took my breath away but now there's no reply
Only hi, goodbye.

Have a good day all!

Friday, August 08, 2008

I havent been home much lately. My eyes feel like they're about to pop out of their sockets :( During the past few weeks, I found myself in school almost everyday, training from noon to night for NUS RAG day and having countless dance sessions in preperation for the big day. Though the briefcase girls were indignant and unhappy at times due to (______________), the experience as a whole proved to be immensely satisfying at the end of it all. Today morning was THE day, the day all of us had spent weeks gearing up for. We only had one chance to showcase our talents, to give it our all and to do our best to impress the judges. Even though SDE did not win any prizes this year, we certainly did try our best and we "danced like there was no tomorrow" out on the stage. The friendships and strong bonds forged definitely made the whole experience unforgettable yet bittersweet and really, no words can describe the joy and immense pride we sde raggers felt at the end of the performance when we finally managed to stack the boxes on top of one another without difficulty, portraying a beautiful picture to the audience at the end. I was so pleased when I was standing at the side of the stage and hearing people shouting "GO SOPHIA!" I couldn't see who those lovelies were but ahhh I feel the love :) It was no doubt nerve racking at first being up on stage in front of hundreds of people but we raggers got over it and our performance at rag day was, if i say so myself, awesome! :)

College life has been great so far! Lessons proper start next week though ugh. I can't imgaine sitting through all those dull and sleep-inducing lectures again :( But ohwell, there are only four more years before I enter the working/ corporate world and I am not looking forward to it all. Cherish our youth, youth is (unfortunately, not) forever!

Now, I need to rest my poor eyes. Goodnight all!

Sunday, August 03, 2008

I'm not going to waste (more) tears on you.
Enough please.

Saturday, August 02, 2008

I have many things in my life to be thankful for. I have a (sometimes) loving family and many great friends whom I can count on. I do not have to worry about where my next meal is going to come from and most of all, I am loved by my family and my friends. I am a very lucky girl. God knows how the poverty stricken people in other countries are suffering. So yes, I should learn to count my blessings.

So much has changed in this two and a half years. I was foolish and giddy in love, I believed that forever then meant forever and ever. What did I know? I was barely 17 years old. What did I know about "forever"? Now, I find myself disillusioned and disenchanted. Nothing in life comes without a struggle. But at the end of it all, you do emerge a stronger and wiser person. Looking back now, no doubt, I wish I could have done some things differently. But here I am, forcing myself to look to the future, focused and determined not to make the same damn mistakes again.
"Sophia, chin up chin up."

If anyone could make me a better person, you could.

Monday, July 28, 2008

I'm scared of what the future may bring.
I need a time machine, yes?

Saturday, July 26, 2008

I'll be the embrace that keeps you warm
For you're the sun that breaks the storm

I feel feverish. I came to the conclusion this morning that all the days of going out and gallivanting have taken its toll on me and I need a rest. I shall stay at home today..

I just finished reading an interesting, thought provoking book "Brand New Friend". To cut a long story short, a 33 year old guy (his name is Rob) who is engaged moves to Manchester to live with his girlfriend. Believing that love conquers all and confident that he will adapt to life quickly in Manchester, he takes the plunge. The downside? He's completely friendless and lonely there having left his best friends, loved ones and basically his whole life back in London. He has lots of difficulty finding a new best friend in Manchester and when he finally does find a friend whom he can connect with, his new friend has a huge flaw. She's a girl..

Do platonic friendships really exist?

I personally feel that yes, it is possible to just maintain a platonic friendship with a member of the opposite sex. I myself have a few close guy friends, for instance Brinden who has been my friend for almost three years now. Of course we have had our fair share of troubles and I find myself snapping at him sometimes when he gets too annoying and arrogant (those who know him well enough will know what I am talking about) Amazingly, we still have managed to be good friends all this while. And I know that when I am feeling down, I can call him up, cry my heart out and he will still always be there for me.

Others may vehemently disagree with me and they might state that "there is no such thing as a platonic friendship"! Well it just depends on the way you look at it. Some "couples" are just made to be friends and nothing more than that. There is no "chemistry", "butterflies", or whatever you call that tingly feeling you feel in your stomach when you see a person you have the hots for

I have had my fair share of guy friends who have walked in and out of my life within a matter of a few months, weeks and even days! These friendships, albeit innocent are nonetheless sticky.. I guess. Girl friends are a different story altogether! While guy friends are entertaining no doubt, nothing beats the lovely, warm feeling of hanging out with a group of close girl friends in a small cozy cafe :) Okay on a sidenote, it's funny how whenever I think about "single and confident women", a vision of Carrie Bradshaw and her three sidekicks strutting down the street clad in their Manolos comes to my mind. I can safely say that my girl friends are the best. They have always been there for me. We laugh together, cry together and most of all, we grew up together. I love them with all my heart!

"Don't make someone your priority when you are only their option"
Food for thought, yes?

PS. Rob chose his girlfriend in the end, not his girl best friend :)
